President Bola Tinubu Arrives Lagos for End-of-Year Holidays After Borno, Bauchi Visits
President
Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in
Lagos State to spend the end-of-year holidays, following official visits to
Borno and
Bauchi states as part of a three-state tour.
The President was received at the
presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, by Governor
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, top government officials, and chieftains of the
All Progressives Congress (APC).

reported that President Tinubu departed Abuja on Saturday for the multi-state visit aimed at governance engagements, project commissioning, and condolence activities.
Tinubu Commissions Projects in Borno State
During his visit to
Borno State, President Tinubu commissioned several projects executed by the state government under Governor
Babagana Zulum, in collaboration with the Federal Government. The projects are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure and improve living conditions in the state.
While in Maiduguri, the President also attended the wedding ceremony of
Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator,
Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride,
Hadiza Kam Salem.
Condolence Visit to Bauchi State
From Borno, President Tinubu proceeded to
Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late renowned Islamic cleric and leader of the
Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood,
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who passed away on November 27.
The visit underscored the President’s respect for the influential cleric’s contributions to Islamic scholarship and national unity in Nigeria.
President’s Holiday Engagements in Lagos
Following the condolence visit, President Tinubu arrived in
Lagos, where he is expected to participate in several activities during the holiday period.
Among his scheduled engagements is attendance at the
Eyo Festival on
December 27, where he will serve as the
guest of honour. The festival will take place at the
Tafawa Balewa Square.
Eyo Festival to Honour Prominent Personalities
The Eyo Festival will celebrate prominent personalities, including the President’s late mother,
Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as late former Lagos State Governors
Alhaji Lateef Jakande and
Chief Michael Otedola.
The event is expected to attract dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and residents, further highlighting Lagos’ rich cultural heritage and festive atmosphere during the holiday season.
